Our Lady of the Rosary

Verses: Eustace of Sirena (Dominican office, 1834)
Refrain: Song of Songs: 6:10
Text Ed.: Mary Oberle Hubley

Refrain: Who comes forth as the Rising Dawn,
Who comes forth splendidly arrayed in gold?
Mary, the Immaculate Queen,
Our Lady of the holy Rosary.

1.)    Blest is the message Gabriel brought,
Blest by the work the Spirit wrought:
He, the Great Desire of earth,
Took Human Flesh and Human Birth.

Refrain: Who comes forth as the Rising Dawn,
Who comes forth splendidly arrayed in gold?
Mary, the Immaculate Queen,
Our Lady of the holy Rosary.

2.)    Lowly Mary's joys we celebrate;
Her wounding sorrows we relate.
Your glory, robed in endless light,
We sing, O Virgin Mother bright.

Refrain: Who comes forth as the Rising Dawn,
Who comes forth splendidly arrayed in gold?
Mary, the Immaculate Queen,
Our Lady of the holy Rosary.

3.) Come, all you nations, from this vine
Of mysteries the roses twine:
Garlands for your Queen above,
The glorious Mother of fairest love.

Refrain: Who comes forth as the Rising Dawn,
Who comes forth splendidly arrayed in gold?
Mary, the Immaculate Queen,
Our Lady of the holy Rosary.

4.) O Gate, through which had passed the King,
O Hall, which Light shone through the gloom:
Ransomed nations praise and sing
The Life received from the Virgin's womb.

Refrain: Who comes forth as the Rising Dawn,
Who comes forth splendidly arrayed in gold?
Mary, the Immaculate Queen,
Our Lady of the holy Rosary.

5.)    Twice six the stars that crown her head,
The gracious Mother reigns yet;
Beside her Son's eternal throne,
Over all creation as her own.

Refrain: Who comes forth as the Rising Dawn,
Who comes forth splendidly arrayed in gold?
Mary, the Immaculate Queen,
Our Lady of the holy Rosary.

6.)    All glory, Jesus, Virgin born,
With the Father and the Spirit One:
Love and honor, glory be
To the Triune God in majesty.

Refrain: Who comes forth as the Rising Dawn,
Who comes forth splendidly arrayed in gold?
Mary, the Immaculate Queen,
Our Lady of the holy Rosary.
